Sacred Stones of Egypt: Ancient Crystals and Modern Mysteries

For those of you who know me, you know that I love crystals. So many of the beautiful friendships I've formed in recent years began through my crystal business, Soul Care Crystals, or my online crystal courses—connections born from our shared appreciation for both their beauty and their medicine. While I no longer own my crystal business, crystals remain part of my love language. If we're friends, you've likely received one from me at least once!

As we prepare for our sacred journey to Egypt in October, this love takes on deeper meaning. After all, Egypt is where humanity's documented relationship with sacred stones truly began. Crystals and gemstones have actually played a part in all religions. They are mentioned throughout the Bible, the Koran, and many other sacred texts, including the Egyptian Book of the Dead. I’d love to share a little bit about both the historically documented sacred stones of ancient Egypt and the newer phenomenon of Andara crystals that some believe connect us to this timeless wisdom.

The Holy Trinity: Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, and Carnelian

Starting in the 4th Dynasty, and continuing for the next two millennia, the trio of turquoise, lapis lazuli, and carnelian was often found together in ancient Egyptian royal jewelry. The combination of these three stones is powerful and held profound spiritual significance for the ancient Egyptians.

Lapis Lazuli: Stone of the Heavens

In ancient Egypt, Lapis lazuli held a value even greater than that of gold due to its scarcity and color. Its deep blue hue was associated with the night sky, and represented the heavens above. Lapis was a favorite stone for amulets and jewelry. History also tells us that lapis was ground into a powder and used as eyeshadow by Cleopatra.

The Egyptian Book of the Dead contained detailed descriptions of the use of lapis lazuli in burial rites, where it was equated with resurrection.

Turquoise: The Mistress's Stone

Turquoise has been used in Ancient Egypt for longer than any other crystal. There are famous mines in Sinai that historians believe have been in operation since as early as 5,500 BCE. This crystal held such significance for Egyptian miners that they honored the goddess Hathor as the 'Mistress of Turquoise,' recognizing her divine connection to this sacred stone.

Hathor's duties extended beyond motherhood and the afterlife to include the protection of miners, musicians, and dancers. Turquoise was frequently found in tombs and funerary items, including Tutankhamun's famous death mask.

Carnelian: Stone of Life and Power

Carnelian, because of its fiery orange/red color, was often associated with the blood-lust and rage of Egyptian deities and was closely connected to the sun god, Ra. It was used often in jewelry for sun disks and to represent the eye of Horus.

The goddess Isis used carnelian to protect the dead on their journey to the afterlife, linking it to rebirth and eternal life. Egyptians inscribed parts of the Book of the Dead onto carnelian amulets, which were believed to ease the souls' passage into the next world.

Andara Crystals

While these are just three of the most revered stones that are part of Egypt's history, there is an entirely new set of stones that have become popular to purchase in Egypt, which are the controversial Andara crystals. When I first went to Egypt in 2024, I had never heard of them but was instantly drawn to their beauty and ended up purchasing a dozen of them of varying sizes! It wasn’t until I was back in the States that I researched their origin. Here is what I found:

Andara crystals were first "discovered" in the 1960s by Lady Nellie, a Choctaw medicine woman living near Mt. Shasta in California. The story goes that Nellie and her sons were having a snowball fight when she noticed a colorful blue stone tucked away in the snow. She later found a second of these colorful stones and held onto them for decades before inviting a channeler to do a reading on the stones. 

Fast-forward to the 1990s, Nellie invited a channeler to do a reading on the crystals she had found all those years before. The channeler received information from the Egyptian deity, Thoth, who called these crystals "Andara." According to these transmissions, Thoth explained that the name "Andara" means "Light of Beauty and Perfection." He revealed that the true Andara crystals exist in another dimension of reality and described how an interdimensional implosion occurred long ago, creating what he called "Prima Matra" (First Matter). This sacred substance was originally seeded on Earth by beings known as "Time Walkers" working with great beings represented mythologically as unicorns.

Approximately 2,000 years after this implosion, a Lemurian temple complex was built on the site and named "Andara." There, advanced beings called "Andareans" (evolved Lemurians) worked with these sacred materials.

Thoth further explained that the physical Andara crystals found on Lady Nellie's land are actually man-made glass that serves as an interdimensional bridge. When this glass was buried in the Prima Matra powder, the energy of the original otherworldly crystals "bled through" dimensions and anchored into the glass. He described this as part of an ongoing alchemical process where the Andarean beings in inner earth caverns create "source" Andara crystals that transmit frequencies to the surface crystals.

According to Thoth, these crystals contain "holo-axial formations of crystalline DNA"—essentially holographic imprints that can help activate dormant patterns within human DNA, serving as tools for spiritual transformation and consciousness expansion.

You can see why these gorgeous glass stones are controversial. Some people believe Andaras are the highest vibrational crystals on Earth, holding pure consciousness of Love and Unity. Some believe that they indeed have a cosmic origin, being seeded by star beings or containing star codes meant to assist humanity. Others see only slag glass and believe the hype around this material is simply a marketing ploy. Today, most authentic Andara Crystals are found in volcanic regions of Central and East Java, Indonesia, areas considered among the world's most energetically potent zones.

My Channeled Wisdom

During my connection with the Andara crystal, I experienced visions of spinning snowflakes in white and silver. Light beings emerged from this ethereal display—they appeared as silver-white, androgynous entities that manifested as galactic light beams. These beings communicated profound insights about the frequency of this Andara crystal and how it allows me to engage with ancient technology through coded frequencies. The beings explained that these crystals contain light in its purest form. Energetically, I felt myself sitting within a hologram or projection, surrounded by spinning snowflakes that created a sacred, otherworldly atmosphere.

According to the light beings, these crystals hold the frequency of Lemuria and should be understood as time capsules or a hall of records. They contain wisdom and a codex that has captured and preserved light, specifically, frozen light from the original blueprint that originated with Lemuria. However, this technology transcends any single civilization; it is a universal technology that seeds light and promotes higher consciousness. These crystals are not of Earth origin. They exist without density or time constraints, possessing energy that is fluid, fast-moving, and highly vibrational. Andara crystals have natural affinities with various planets and can be found along ley lines throughout the world, where they serve as powerful portals.

My particular Andara crystal is connected to Sirius, Venus, and Neptune. The beings emphasized that these crystals are seeds of light that hold portal energy. They explained that while portals exist in thousands of locations across the planet, the most significant ones are found at highly specific places, particularly at planetary chakra points. These include sacred locations such as Mount Shasta, Indonesia, Hawaii, Easter Island, and New Zealand.

All Andara crystals appear different depending on the ley line where they are discovered. However, they share common characteristics: they are all glassy and reflect light beautifully, they absorb density, and they contain both universal codes and original blueprint codes. Some of this coding is universal in nature, while other aspects are native to the specific region where the crystal was found. The beings described various types: black volcanic glass, blue "sea glass," and deep magenta. They emphasized that the deep magenta variety is the most powerful because it holds the codes of both destruction and creation, representing the sacred energies of blood and wine, the cycle of death and rebirth.

This crystal communicated that it can work with me to open pathways to ancient knowings and understandings. It has the ability to help me open my third eye and connect directly to the portal and planet from which this particular crystal originates. My large green-blue Andara connects specifically to Neptune and Sirius, and it actively invites light beings to heal and upgrade my energy system. The beings clarified that this crystal's function is not to protect or block energy; rather, it is designed to open and seed energy, facilitating expansion and connection.

The crystal works primarily with my clairvoyant abilities, focusing on the areas of my third eye and crown chakra. It helps me see with enhanced clarity and precision, allowing me to perceive Lemurian sacred geometry and coding. The crystal facilitates telepathy, instant healing, and the reception of instant knowledge. The beings noted that those who are drawn to Andara crystals are ready to work with their frequencies, while those who are not drawn to them are simply not ready to unlock or hold such high vibrational energy.

Andara crystals are aligned with all elements, but my specific crystal has the strongest connections to air and water. The beings explained that wind and air move debris while carrying information, clarity, inspiration, and knowing. They instructed me to work with this crystal at my feet, as it functions as a healing tool that removes energetic debris and whisks one into their deepest knowing and clarity.

This crystal serves as a portal to the planet Neptune and to Sirius—it is truly a planetary portal. Within this portal space, one can remain completely calm amidst chaos, like standing peacefully in the center of a tornado while debris and turmoil move frantically all around. This energy takes consciousness out of the physical body, facilitating profound spiritual experiences.

The beings revealed that Archangels Metatron and Sandalphon are tied to this frequency and work closely with Andara crystal energy. For proper care and maintenance, the crystal prefers to be cleansed in water under the light of the moon and stars, connecting it back to its celestial origins and maintaining its high vibrational clarity.
